French native KAYA, born Jean-Philippe Kaya, skillfully blends his classical piano and composition background with a fervent passion for electronic music to push sonic boundaries. With roots from Cameroon and Congo, and having lived across three countries and two continents, the Los Angeles-based DJ/Producer draws from a rich tapestry of influences to craft his unique sound. KAYA discovered his love for DJing during the pandemic, rapidly gaining recognition for his signature sets blending nostalgic 90s piano house with high energy drops. He has performed across North America and Europe, sharing the stage with renowned artists like Deadmau5, MEDUZA, KREAM, Hugel, Joel Corry, Todd Edwards, A-Trak, and Habstrakt to name a few. His production prowess is showcased through his collaborations on prominent labels such as Ultra Records, Groove Bassment and Quincy Boy Records, garnering support from industry heavyweights including Pete Tong, SNBRN, Kaleena Zanders, Win and Woo, and Snakehips. KAYA’s music has resonated at some of the world’s biggest festivals including Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, and Electric Forest. With an upcoming mixtape on Phantom’s record label, Speed Dial, KAYA shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to hone his craft both in the studio and on stage, solidifying his place in the electronic music scene on fan at a time.
